Search tips

• Due to merging multiple library databases into a single database, finding the information about availability of books and other items in your library may be a little complicated at the moment. You can find the information about the availability in the search results page by viewing the different titles listed on the page.
• By clicking the title of the item or the preview picture you can get further information about the specific item.
• The material types will be harmonized in the Eepos libraries.
• Start by doing the search and then narrow the search result using the different criteria shown above the search results list. You can also organize the results list e.g. by relevance or date.
• You can also narrow the search by choosing the library in the Narrow Search menu in the right column of the page. Information about availability of the item will then be easier to find.
• Search magazines and journals: type in the name of the magazine to the search field and narrow the search by choosing your library in the Narrow Search menu.
• New items: Leave the search field empty and click the search button. Then narrow your search in the Narrow Search menu by clicking New items and choosing the time range. If needed, you can narrow the search with other criteria, too.
• Audio books: Leave the search field empty and click the search button. Then narrow your search in the Narrow Search menu by clicking Format and choosing Sound > CD, speech.
• Audio books: Leave the search field empty and click the search button. Then narrow your search in the Narrow Search menu by clicking Format and choosing Sound > CD, speech.
• Console games: Type in to the search field konsolipelit (in Finnish) or ps4, Wii, xbox etc. If you want to view only the newest games you can narrow the search in Narrow Search menu by clicking New items and choosing the time range.
• If you want to search a particular new item, just type in the name of the book, audio book or console game to the search field.
